Birchwood Retreat Country Cottages is nestled within the magnificent Strzelecki Ranges, offering all the charm of the great outdoors together with luxuriously appointed cabins. The air is fresh here and you can enjoy yourself in an environment that is still nature's own.

If you onlly have a weekend away, or a week or two, Birchwood Retreat in historical Mirboo North offers the kind of pleasure you'll want to keep going back to time and time again. It's like living in your own private world and you can do as much, or as little as you like, whenever you want to.

Enjoy bush walking, golf, fishing, swimming or just relaxing with a good book in a beautiful rural environment. Birchwood Retreat and Mirboo North have got it all. Crystal-clear streams brimming with blackfish and trout will tempt and delight those who fish. There's a full 18-hole golf course close by. The Strzelecki Ranges and Tarra Bulga National Park are a bush walker's heaven, with panoramic views and a wide range of flora and fauna. The Mirboo North-Boolarra rail trail gives visitors the opportunity to "walk the line".

The Cottages
At Birchwood Retreat, when you settle into one of the three self-contained quality cabins, the picturesque Strzelecki Ranges are your backyard. Out front, spacious and unspoiled natural grounds provide more scope for bush walking. Tucked away are barbecue facilities you're free to use. Cyprus and birch trees, grasses and rushes, native trees and shrubs add to the atmosphere and ensure your privacy.

All cottages have spacious/open plan living areas, with fully equipped fully self contained kitchens. One of the cottages has full disabled facilities as well as a second toilet and laundry, making it ideal for extended stays.

In the true country tradition, a cosy wood heater in the living area provides ample heating while creating a special ambience. Each cottage is equipped with a television and DVD player and provides parking for two vehicles. All bedroom, bathroom linen and accessories are supplied.

Mirboo North is an easy 2 hour drive from Melbourne along the Strzelecki Highway.
