Bed & Breakfast accommodation (Wynyard)

You can watch the ships and yachts sail by from your private verandah. Or you can enjoy safe swimming, fishing and snorkelling on the beach with a reef just 100 metres offshore.
Within walking and cycling distance we have golf courses, parks, gardens, nature trails, the jetty area and the township of Wynyard. On the first Sunday of the month the village fair is held on the beach nature strip just opposite. Hop in the car and you can check out the Table Cape Tulip farm, Fossil Bluff and Mediteranean-looking Boat Harbour. A bit further afield are the famous landmarks of Cradle Mountain and the volcanic plug that is the Stanley Nut.

Your self contained spa apartment is heritage appointed with axminster carpets, classic soft furnishings and heritage antiques. It contains one bedroom with a large, ensuite bathroom which includes shower and two person corner spa. You also have your own private foyer, lounge room, verandah as well as kitchen and laundry facilities, (complete with small gas BBQ.) The lounge area area contains lounge seating, entertainment unit, a dining table and a kitchen sideboard and fridge. It can double as a second bedroom.

The kitchen/laundry is beautifully decorated with spacious Tasoak benches, a stained glass window, skylight, garden window and heritage fittings. It is a European style kitchen, in that it is compact in size and contains a front-loading washing machine and dryer as a space saving solution. It is equipped with convection microwave oven, double hotplate, crockpot, bar fridge, jug, toaster and sandwhich press and (of course all the necessary cooking and eating utensils). There’s also a hooded gourmet barbeque in the courtryard which can do roasts and spits as well as grills. This kitchen / laundry facility is shared with the hosts during the middle of the day as a laundry and then becomes your own private area for the rest of the day.

We have modern heating and there’s also an open fire for winter nights.We have attempted to recreate the period with Victorian and early century furnishings and appointments. If you look around, you will also come across curios and old photos from the area. Or you might just want to curl up and read a good book from the bookshelves.While the apartment has been designed for your privacy and enjoyment, we are only too happy to help with your travel plans.We hope you enjoy your stay!
